Bio fertilizer
Traditional fertilizers are made from synthetic material, including petroleum, and studies have shown that they can create problems with increased insect presence and also signal to the tree that new roots are not needed, creating a situation where the tree puts on excessive growth without compensation with root development. Our natural and organic options include beneficial nutrients derived from humic acids, seaweed, fish, and beneficial bacteria and fungi designed to encourage root growth and improve the overall health of the tree through the soil.
Root collar excavation
The average life of an urban tree is less than 20 years. This is due in part to poor planting and soil conditions. This can lead to the tree developing a secondary root system that can suffocate the trunk and ultimately kill the tree. Using high pressured air we can excavate the trees roots and prune circling and girdling roots allowing for the movement of water and nutrients.
Soil Decompaction
Everything starts with soil. Unfortunately, modern building techniques, traditional fertilizers, insecticides, fungicides, and pesticides can cause undue harm to what was once a living layer of topsoil. Using high pressured air, we excavate and break up existing poor and compacted soil in order to add living biomass back, giving fine roots and beneficial fungi and bacteria a place to grow and thrive.
Nutrient foliar sprays
Properly timed foliar sprays can increase leaf density making the tree or shrub less susceptible to insect and pathogen damage. These include various types of oils and naturally derived nutrients which are immediately taken up through the trees vascular system making the nutrients readily available when needed most. We have natural and organic options designed to keep your tree happy and healthy throughout the growing season
Bio-aeriation
Often landscaping or other hardscapes make traditional soil decompaction difficult. Fortunately, there are many natural liquid options which have been shown to improve pore space, fine root development, and encourage the growth of beneficial bacteria and fungi. Over time, adding beneficial nutrients, fungi, and bacterial into the soil can create a layer of soil in which trees can thrive.
Organic insecticide and fungicide options
More and more studies point to a growing dependence on traditional insecticides and fungicides. These can have a detrimental effect on local insects and wildlife as well as leech into ground water and stay present in your property’s soil for quite some time. Fortunately, there has been a growing amount of research into organic options for controlling pest and fungal problems on trees and shrubs. We have had great success with properly timed organic and natural insecticides and fungicides. These all-natural products provide suppression while at the same time giving a property owner the peace of mind that comes with knowing their yard is not being continually sprayed with harmful chemicals.
